In this role, you shape and implement the group’s treasury strategy in Europe in close alignment with our parent company in Japan. At the same time, you maintain stewardship of the treasury functions across their European businesses and lead a specialized team. Your responsibilities will include cash management, bank management, payments, risk management, reporting and Group Treasury projects.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the treasury function of the European Holding
  • Manage all relationships in treasury towards the European entities and the holding entity located in Japan
  • Contact person for all treasury topics in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure smooth operation of the day to day business by taking on ownership for related actions
  • Cooperate with other corporate functions, e.g. accounting, tax, etc.
  • Overseeing daily cash management, focusing on cash positioning, cash pooling, cash reporting and payment transactions
  • Responsibility of the cash flow forecasting process, maintaining and updating a consolidated liquidity forecast, together with other stakeholders
  • Managing European bank relationships for bank accounts and financing requirements
  • Responsibility for financial risk management (FX and interest rates)
  • Identify and develop new processes and standards and deliver results with direct impact on the department and overall targets

Your profile

  • Completed university degree with focus on finance, banking or comparable studies
  • At least 5-8 years of profound professional experience in the treasury of an international company or a comparable position and additional years of experience working in a finance function
  • Be familiar with cash management (cash pooling, cash position, international payments) and procedures
  • Confident dealing with banks, also in an international context
  • Experienced and familiar with regulatory compliance in treasury management
  • Experience in project management
  • System expertise in operating and developing integrated treasury management system landscapes
  • Reliability and accuracy in dealing with financial figures and processes
  • Strong team player thanks to your social flexibility and natural communication talent
  • Ability to communicate effectively across cultures and ability to work independently
  • Very good English and German both written and spoken ​
